It's been awhile since I have written. Stinker has been very, very sick =
this past week or so. It has been touch and go but he is holding his =
own. My vet called this evening about a new immunostimulant she learned =
about. It is called Lactoserrin. It comes from the colostrum from the =
cow's first milk. They come in capsules and you mix them with milk and =
if the gums aren't too painful, you swab them. If they are, you get the =
kitty to drink it with a little milk. It is used for stomacitis(sp?) =
She will be getting it by next week. Anyone heard of this?
Well, on Valentine's Day, I became a first time grandma!:) A baby boy, =
8lbs. 9ozs. His name is Noah Alexander. I was there for the birth but =
there were complications and we were kicked out of the room but the =
sound effects were great.:)
Stinker's eyes are very bad again but I don't think it's the herpes. =
The viroptic took care of that. His third eyelids are covering most of =
his eyes and they are always gunky so I've just been keeping them clean. =
Because of the difference in dilation, the vet said it was his nervous =
system. The other night, he was growling and hissing and very restless =
as if in pain. The vet said it could have been a seizure. But, I kind =
of think the vet doesn't know and he just says these things. I really =
don't know what is going on. He has been a tiny bit better today but =
only for awhile. I think he will pull through this. Very stressful!{
I switched over today to the Sensible Choice and all the cats and dog =
just loved it! Stinker even took a few bites! I always worried about =
all the preservatives that are in the Science Diet and Iams, which they =
have always eaten. I got a free sample of the Nutro Max. Will see if =
they like that. Sounds like a good deal.
Hugs and Headbutts to all!:)
Lynn(Stinker)
