Well, you could look at it another way, Stella may
not be trying to manipulate your emotions but trying to hide
her pain when in a strange or stressful environment
(i.e. at the vet's). We know that cats are like this.
If the vet thinks she is OK, that's one thing, but she
persists in this behavior, you might want to think
about having another vet take a look at her.
