The other day I took Jake in (he's not doing well) and the vet tried to
give him an immunoregulin shot. Jake put up such a fight that he
scratched the technician and almost bit her. In the end, we could not
give him the shot--he was just too upset. I asked my vet to do it subq.
She replied that it was not indicated and she refused to do it. While she
certainly believed she was right (and of course that's her prerogative), I
was very dissapointed. I was just about to ask her if I could start
giving Jake some immunoregulin subq at home (since he is doing poorly).
I'd sure appreciate your opinion on this. How did you ever get your vets
to agree to letting you give your shots at home? Nancy
