Hi Lynn,
I can't find much about lactoferrin's dosage for Lizzie. Please keep
Stinker's activities posted to the group. I had Lizzie's gums worked on
a few weeks ago and then oral surgery that only left 7 strong teeth.
She came through it just fine and it's all healed up. I thought it was
a miracle.
The eye specialist I took her too gave the exhaustive eye exams to find
the lymphoma in the right eye and maybe one in her body. Today the eye
vet said to double the prednisone after he lowered it for a week. I
gave her a supplement last night from St. Aubrey labs and she didn't
like it and spit it up.

After her double prednisone, I gave her two small portions of raw egg
blended with milk and a pinch of sugar and she seemed to like it ok. I
just let it slowly drip along the inside of her little mouth. She
purred and then went to hide after a couple of head bump thank you's.
She's such a trooper.

She was a "young lady" stray when we first met and I caught only quick
glimpses of her when I'd turn around quickly in my yard where I was
playing with my antique cars and old classic boats that she would jump
off. She was thrown out of her "feline" family and was a loner, but
what a flirt!

A lady friend dropped by and saw several big "Toms" gang up on her and
beat her up all of the time. She really guarded her virginity.
I put food a little closer to the back door each day until I was able to
leave the door open and she'd slowly come closer to the house to get her
food.

I started at about 50 feet from the house and moved her food a couple of
feet closer each day. If I moved it too much, she wouldnt eat it and go
back to her lizard hunting .... hence, "Lizzie". I got her to come way
inside the kitchen and one day I merely walked by her and closed the
door.

There was none of the anticipated panic with her bouncing off the walls
and drapes. Instead, she looked at me calmly and mentally said, "I
guess this means we're committed and you want me to move in with you!!?"
She never left.
I got her fixed and 2 years later ....... damn cancer! I see many
humans in the news, ...... rapists, child stalkers, etc., that deserve
this felv cancer more than these poor cats. I remember the huge family
of cats (hundreds) in Italy that live at the base of a small silver
pyramid right in dowtown Rome and everyone cares for them. Cats are
special and are wonderful to watch. It calms me when they jump up and
take over and step on your book and "say", that you've read enough.

I'll shut up now. Many big hugs and prayers for Stinker from me, Lizzie
and my furry gang. Warm regards, John
